Pet Friendly RVs & Campers

Camping is always better with your best friend. At Big Country RV, we know that for many of our customers, the dog (or cat!) is the most important passenger. That is why we stock a huge selection of Pet Friendly RVs specifically designed to keep your four-legged family members safe, comfortable, and happy on the road.

Forget about kennel fees or pet sitters. Our inventory features campers with paw-friendly floors, built-in feeding stations, and durable interiors that can handle muddy paws. Browse our selection of dog-approved models in Carleton Place from top brands like Grand Design, Forest River, and Flagstaff.

What Makes an RV "Pet Friendly"?

Manufacturers have started listening to pet owners. Here are the specific features you should look for in this collection:

1. Carpet-Free Living (Flush Floor Slides)

The days of impossible-to-clean shag carpet are gone. Our pet-friendly models—like the Grand Design Imagine—feature marine-grade vinyl flooring throughout the entire coach, including the slide-outs. This makes cleaning up muddy prints, shed hair, or accidental spills as easy as a quick sweep.

2. Built-In Pet Features

Some brands go the extra mile. Look for:

Pull-Out Pet Dishes: found in many Grand Design models, these drawers stow away the food and water bowls when not in use.
Leash Latches: Forest River often includes a heavy-duty D-ring integrated into the exterior frame, giving you a safe place to tie up your dog while you relax by the fire.
Screen Defenders: Reinforced screen doors that prevent excited dogs from clawing their way out.

3. Climate Safety

If you plan on leaving your pet in the RV while you go to a restaurant or store, insulation matters. Our Four Season models keep the interior temperature stable, ensuring your pet doesn't overheat in the summer or freeze in the fall.

Top Brands for Dog Owners

Grand Design Imagine & Reflection: Famous for their "ductless flooring" (no vents in the floor for paws to get stuck in or kibble to fall into) and pull-out pet drawers.
Forest River Wildwood / Salem: Offers durable "active lifestyle" interiors that hold up well to claws and activity.
Flagstaff: Offers carpet-free interiors in almost all their Micro Lite and Super Lite models.
